Managing Consultant

HighQuest Group, a consulting, media, and events firm, serving industry and financial players and investors in agriculture, agribusiness, and food markets, is seeking a full-time Marketing Manager based in our Danvers, Massachusetts office.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Managing Consultant, you will be responsible for leading the day‐to‐day activities of consulting projects, developing marketing relationships to secure new business, helping write proposals to close new business, and working to develop more junior staff.

 

On an engagement, the Managing Consultant will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: recognizing core problems, identifying and prioritizing opportunities, developing recommendations, implementing solutions, and selling additional work across a diverse set of consulting environments. The Managing Consultant is expected to work closely with and build strong relationships with senior management at the client and in some cases with the client’s financial institutions and/or private equity sponsor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics and skills:

  • Undergraduate degree with a preferred concentration in business or engineering

  • MBA or related graduate degree

  • Minimum of 10 years of practical experience with another management consulting, private equity, with agribusiness related experience.

  • Extraordinary business and people management skills with the ability to not only identify opportunities but also enroll others to deliver the desired results

  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to take ownership of projects and drive to completion

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively work with a client team composed of both internal and external individuals

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to develop and deliver effective presentations

  • Ability to multi‐task and work in a fast‐paced, dynamic setting

  • Positive attitude when facing adversity, including perseverance and persistence

  • Strong competency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, with MS Access a definite plus.

  • Willingness to travel

  • Must be authorized to work in U.S. (permanent residency with permanent work authorization)
